How to check your personal credit report:

It is recommended that everyone check their personal credit records once a year. Canada has two primary credit reporting agencies, TransUnion and Equifax. You can request that a free copy of your credit file be mailed to you or you can order a copy on-line at each website (fee of approximately $15-25). Be prepared to provide identification.
